'Jim was the lead planner on a £180m NEC3 Option A tender comprising 8nr. buildings, 2nr. taxiway extensions an infrastructure package on a secure RAF Station. The complexities of the scheme required Jim to not only absorb substantial information on the existing site, proposed build and unique security restrictions on labour and material movements, but to also stress test the programmes using Scheduled Risk Analysis (Monte Carlo) and extensive resource scrutiny from design through to handover. The scale of the tender required Jim to manipulate the programme to produce graphical representation of labour and material analysis over a three year construction period to ensure that our methodology and financial approach was sound, and that the client was getting best value. Jim was a crucial member of the tender team and delivered presentations to senior GT stakeholders and the client at contract negotiation meetings.
